Riedel Bar Rituals Highball Glass Set of 2

Built around modern cocktails and everyday mixed drinks, the Riedel Bar Rituals Highball Glass is one of those designs that quietly makes everything feel more considered. Tall, clean-lined, and comfortably weighted in the hand, it suits everything from a classic gin and tonic to sparkling lemonade, Palomas, Mojitos, iced tea, or alcohol-free serves with plenty of garnish and ice.

What separates the Bar Rituals collection from many modern bar glasses is that the practical details are genuinely useful rather than decorative. The interlocking base structure allows the glasses to stack securely, helping reduce chipping and saving space behind the bar or in kitchen cupboards. Inside the glass, a discreet 60ml pour line gives a quick visual reference for consistent cocktails without disrupting the clean look of the crystal.

At 321ml capacity and 158mm tall, this is a versatile size that feels balanced rather than oversized. There is enough room for proper ice, citrus, tonic, soda, or layered ingredients without the drink feeling lost in the glass. The lightweight machine-made crystal gives the clarity and thinness people often associate with handmade pieces, whilst remaining durable enough for regular use and dishwasher cleaning.

Developed with bartender Zane Harris, the wider Riedel Bar collection extends the philosophy behind Riedel Drink Specific Glassware into a more architectural direction. Sculptural textures, hidden wash and pour lines, and stackable forms make these glasses feel designed for real service rather than simply display pieces. In practice, they work beautifully both for serious home cocktail setups and for the person who simply wants a better gin and tonic at the end of the day.

What Customers Ask About The Riedel Bar Rituals Highball Glass

What drinks work best in this glass?

It comes into its own with long mixed drinks served over ice. Gin and tonic, Mojitos, Palomas, rum and cola, sparkling spritzes, lemonade, iced coffee, and alcohol-free cocktails all suit the tall shape particularly well. The narrower profile helps retain carbonation whilst still leaving room for garnish and proper ice cubes. Most customers also end up using them far more widely than expected, especially for sparkling water, fruit juice, and casual evening drinks.

What is the interior pour line for?

The discreet 60ml interior line is designed to help with consistent cocktail building without needing a separate measuring tool for every serve. In practice, it is especially useful for quick mixed drinks at home where you want reliable proportions but still want the glassware to look clean and uncluttered. Because the line is subtle, it does not interrupt the appearance of the crystal when serving guests.

Are these designed more for professional bars or home use?

They work comfortably in both settings. The stackable interlocking base and hidden measuring line come from genuine bar-service thinking, but the overall feel is refined enough for relaxed home entertaining and everyday use. Most customers buy them because they want a cocktail glass that feels more polished than generic tumblers without becoming delicate or fussy to live with.

Do the glasses feel lightweight or heavy?

They strike a very balanced middle ground. The crystal is thin enough to feel refined at the rim, whilst the base gives enough weight for stability when filled with ice and mixers. You still get the brightness and clarity people expect from Riedel crystal, but without the overly thick feeling many everyday highball glasses develop.

Would these make a good gift for someone building a home bar?

They make a particularly strong gift because they are practical enough to use constantly whilst still feeling distinctive when opened. The presentation box is smart without being excessive, and the glasses suit both experienced cocktail enthusiasts and people just beginning to build a proper drinks setup at home. They also avoid the common problem of novelty barware that looks dramatic but rarely gets used after the first few occasions.

Understanding the Riedel Bar Rituals Collection

Riedel Bar Rituals takes the thinking behind professional cocktail service and softens it into something more architectural and domestic. Rather than creating highly themed or decorative barware, the collection focuses on proportion, texture, stacking practicality, and clarity of use.

Developed alongside bartender Zane Harris, the range extends the ideas introduced in Riedel Drink Specific Glassware. Hidden pour lines, practical capacities, and secure stacking systems are integrated into the design rather than added afterwards as obvious functional features. The result feels cleaner and more deliberate on the table.

In practice, these are glasses designed for people who actually make and serve drinks regularly. Whether that means a crowded dinner table with spritzes and tonic water, or simply an evening Negroni poured carefully over fresh ice, the collection is built around the ritual of serving rather than display alone.

Care & Use

Dishwasher Use: These glasses are designed to cope with modern dishwasher cycles, making them realistic for regular use rather than occasional-only barware. Place them securely with enough space between items to avoid contact during washing.

Stacking: The interlocking base design allows safer stacking than traditional highball glasses, though it is still worth avoiding excessive pressure or unstable cupboard storage. Most customers find the stackable format particularly useful in smaller kitchens or home bar setups.

Polishing: A soft microfibre cloth works best for removing water marks or fingerprints. Because the crystal is highly transparent, a quick polish before guests arrive makes a noticeable difference under candlelight or evening lighting.

Serving: The 321ml size gives comfortable room for proper ice, garnish, and carbonation. In practice, large clear ice cubes or long citrus peels suit the proportions especially well.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these glasses dishwasher safe?

Yes. Riedel designs this collection to withstand modern dishwasher use whilst maintaining the clarity and brilliance of the crystal. Careful spacing in the dishwasher helps minimise contact with other items.

Do these arrive in a presentation box?

The set arrives in an official Riedel branded gift box containing two matching glasses. Most customers keep the original box for safe storage between occasions or when moving house.

Can I use these for non-alcoholic drinks?

Absolutely. The tall shape works beautifully for sparkling water, iced tea, lemonades, cold brew coffee, and alcohol-free cocktails with garnish and ice.

How does the Half-Price Replacement work?

If a glass is accidentally broken within 2 years of purchase, we can replace it at half the current retail price with proof of purchase and a photo of the damage.

Are these genuine Riedel glasses?

Yes. We are a specialist authorised retailer and source directly through official channels. The glasses arrive in original Riedelbranded packaging.

What makes crystal different from ordinary glass?

Crystal glass offers greater clarity, brightness, and a finer-feeling rim than many standard soda-lime glasses. In practice, drinks tend to look sharper and more vibrant, particularly with ice and citrus garnish.

How quickly do you dispatch orders?

Most in-stock orders are dispatched promptly from our Surrey warehouse. Delivery timings vary slightly during peak gifting periods and public holidays.

Can used glasses still be returned?

Yes. Our no quibble policy includes used items provided they remain in resaleable condition and include the original packaging.

Due to ongoing issues, we have had to suspend deliveries to mainland Europe and the Republic of Ireland. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Rest of the World

If your country is not listed - including the USA, Australia, and other destinations - this is most likely because couriers charge by volumetric weight: a combination of package size and weight that makes standard online rates impractical to calculate automatically.

Please call us on 01737 222682 with the details of your order and we will advise on shipping costs within 24 hours, then ask whether you would like to proceed.

Please note:

All overseas shipments are at your own risk. We recommend taking out appropriate transit insurance to cover any damage in transit.

Customs forms for all international packages declare the full value and a description of the contents. Any customs or import duties levied on arrival in your country are your responsibility. Your local customs office can provide further information.

Returns & Refunds

We hope your order arrives in perfect condition and that you love what you've chosen. If something isn't right - whether the item is unwanted, damaged, or develops a fault - we'll do our best to make the process as straightforward as possible.

You can reach us via our contact form or by calling 01737 222682. You'll be speaking to a member of our team based in our Surrey warehouse.

I want to return an unwanted item

Unwanted items can be returned for a no-quibble refund, provided they are in resaleable condition and in their original packaging. Our returns policy normally covers the 365 days following purchase - but if you're outside that window, get in touch and we'll do our best to help.

Packing your return:

  • Wrap or box items appropriately to prevent damage in transit.
  • Do not stick labels or tape directly to the product's branded packaging - a damaged box means we can no longer accept the return.
  • The easiest method is to reuse the outer packing material and box we originally sent your order in.

If the product is not in fully resaleable condition, or the branded box is damaged, we will apply our half-price replacement guarantee and refund you half the original purchase price.

Return postage: Customers are responsible for the cost of returning items. We recommend using a recorded or signed-for service so the parcel is insured and trackable.

Items remain your responsibility until they arrive with us.

Alternatively, you can purchase a Royal Mail returns label here, from our parent company, Art of Living Cookshop.
