Manhattan Highball Glasses

The Riedel Restaurant Manhattan Highball Glass (0419/04) is the highball format in the Manhattan on-premise range, designed for the conditions of high-volume professional bar service. At 350ml with a classic tall tumbler profile at 149mm and 72mm diameter, it is the practical choice for spirits and mixers, long cocktails, and soft drink service in hotels, minibars, breakfast bars, and high-footfall establishments.

The Manhattan range's design philosophy is straightforward: classical proportions, practical durability, easy handling, and the clean lines that work in any bar environment without requiring explanation. The Highball is the most used glass format in most bars, and the Manhattan version is built to earn that use day after day. Machine-made in lead-free crystal, certified for 1,500 commercial dishwasher cycles, sold in sets of 12.

Key features:

  • 350ml classic highball capacity: Correctly sized for a standard 50ml spirit with 200-250ml mixer over ice
  • 149mm tall classic profile: The height-to-diameter ratio of a traditional highball glass, comfortable to hold and easy to carry multiple glasses per hand in service
  • 72mm diameter for efficient racking: The slim profile allows high-density racking in commercial dishwashers and efficient storage in high-volume operations
  • Developed for on-premise trade use: The Manhattan range was designed specifically for hotel, minibar, and high-volume bar operations
  • Versatile for spirits and mixers, long cocktails, and soft drinks
  • 1,500-cycle dishwasher certification: EN 12875-1/2 certified
  • Set of 12, trade-only: Restaurant-format case quantity

What Restaurant Professionals Ask About This Product

What is the correct serve in a highball glass?

A standard highball is a single or double spirit measure (25ml or 50ml) with 150-250ml of mixer, served over ice, filling the glass to approximately two-thirds of capacity. Fill with ice first, add the spirit, then top with cold mixer poured slowly down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation.

What drinks work in the Manhattan Highball vs the Drink Specific Highball?

The Manhattan Highball (0419/04) is designed for high-volume general bar use where a dependable practical format is the requirement. The Drink Specific Highball (0417/04) is engineered for Highball cocktails where the glass shape is part of the drink's presentation. The Manhattan is the workhorse; the Drink Specific is for bars where the highball is a signature serve.

Is the Manhattan Highball stackable?

The classic straight-sided profile allows careful stacking in compatible storage systems, making storage efficient in high-volume operations. Check that the stack does not create pressure points on the rim before adopting this storage approach.

How many dishwasher cycles will this glass survive?

EN 12875-1/2 certified for 1,500 commercial dishwasher cycles, corresponding to 10+ years of normal restaurant service life.

The Highball: The Hardest-Working Glass in the Bar

The highball is the drink that most consistently drives bar revenue across the widest range of service contexts. Gin and tonic, vodka and soda, whisky and ginger ale, rum and Coke: the highball format covers the most commonly ordered drinks in most bars, and the glass it is served in is the most frequently used piece of glassware in the operation.

For a glass that earns that level of use, the requirements are clear: practical, durable, easy to handle, easy to rack, and looking right without requiring special attention. The Manhattan Highball delivers all of these in a format specifically designed for the conditions of professional on-premise service.

For hotel minibars, breakfast bars, and any bar operation where the highball is a primary serve, the Manhattan range provides the dependable professional foundation.

Deliveries currently suspended

Due to ongoing issues, we have had to suspend deliveries to mainland Europe and the Republic of Ireland. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Rest of the World

If your country is not listed - including the USA, Australia, and other destinations - this is most likely because couriers charge by volumetric weight: a combination of package size and weight that makes standard online rates impractical to calculate automatically.

Please call us on 01737 222682 with the details of your order and we will advise on shipping costs within 24 hours, then ask whether you would like to proceed.

Please note:

All overseas shipments are at your own risk. We recommend taking out appropriate transit insurance to cover any damage in transit.

Customs forms for all international packages declare the full value and a description of the contents. Any customs or import duties levied on arrival in your country are your responsibility. Your local customs office can provide further information.

Returns & Refunds

We hope your order arrives in perfect condition and that you love what you've chosen. If something isn't right - whether the item is unwanted, damaged, or develops a fault - we'll do our best to make the process as straightforward as possible.

You can reach us via our contact form or by calling 01737 222682. You'll be speaking to a member of our team based in our Surrey warehouse.

I want to return an unwanted item

Unwanted items can be returned for a no-quibble refund, provided they are in resaleable condition and in their original packaging. Our returns policy normally covers the 365 days following purchase - but if you're outside that window, get in touch and we'll do our best to help.

Packing your return:

  • Wrap or box items appropriately to prevent damage in transit.
  • Do not stick labels or tape directly to the product's branded packaging - a damaged box means we can no longer accept the return.
  • The easiest method is to reuse the outer packing material and box we originally sent your order in.

If the product is not in fully resaleable condition, or the branded box is damaged, we will apply our half-price replacement guarantee and refund you half the original purchase price.

Return postage: Customers are responsible for the cost of returning items. We recommend using a recorded or signed-for service so the parcel is insured and trackable.

Items remain your responsibility until they arrive with us.

Alternatively, you can purchase a Royal Mail returns label here, from our parent company, Art of Living Cookshop.
