Mixologist's Tips
Rose Syrup vs Rose Water: Rose syrup is sweeter and easier to work with. Rose water is much stronger - start with just 1 teaspoon and add more if needed. Too much tastes like perfume!
Fresh Lemon Only: Bottled lemon juice will ruin this cocktail. The brightness of fresh lemon is essential to balance the sweetness.
The Perfect Shake: Shake until the shaker is so cold it's almost painful to hold. This creates that silky texture and proper dilution.
Colour Control: Adjust the cranberry juice amount to control the pink intensity. More cranberry = deeper pink.
Make it Stronger: For more vodka punch, increase to 150ml vodka and reduce cranberry juice to 15ml.
Batch Mixing: Multiply the recipe and mix everything except ice in a jug. Shake individual serves with ice as needed.
🥂 Non-Alcoholic Version: Replace vodka with 120ml cold water, use raspberry syrup instead of liqueur, and top with 60ml sparkling water for fizz. Just as pretty, just as delicious!
