Burgundy white wines, predominantly made from Chardonnay, exhibit a spectrum of flavours from crisp green apple and citrus to rich, buttery textures and notes of hazelnut and honey.

Limitations in vine acreage and relatively small production volumes, as well as Burgundy's excellent reputation, means that there is simply not enough of it to satisfy demand.

And so White Burgundy is some of the most expensive wine in the world.
