- Top up with champagne or sparkling wine.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Expert Tips
Champagne Choice: Any dry sparkling wine works beautifully - you don't need expensive champagne. Prosecco or Cava are excellent alternatives that keep costs down for party quantities.
Perfect Sugar Rim: Wet only the outer edge of the rim for a cleaner presentation. This prevents sugar from falling into the drink and keeps the rim looking pristine.
Serving Temperature: Chill your glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes before making the cocktails. Cold glasses keep the champagne fizzy longer and enhance the drinking experience.
Batch Preparation: Mix the vodka and raspberry liqueur ahead of time in a pitcher. Keep chilled in the fridge and just add champagne when serving. This makes it easy to serve multiple guests quickly.
Garnish Ideas: Add fresh raspberries or a twist of lemon peel for extra visual appeal. A single raspberry floating in the glass looks particularly elegant.
Glassware Matters: Use proper martini or coupe glasses for the best presentation. The wide rim shows off the red sugar beautifully and the shape concentrates the aromas.
🍾 Why Chambord? Chambord is a premium French raspberry liqueur with hints of vanilla and honey. Its deep colour and complex flavour make it perfect for this cocktail, but any quality raspberry liqueur will work.
